REVEL: The 4th Annual Repeal Day Celebration
December 5th, 1933: Prohibition ended at last.
December 5th, 2019: Nelson’s Green Brier partied like it was 1933.
Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery’s 4th annual REVEL celebration was a Gatsby inspired party, but we wanted to ensure the design didn’t feel cliché. My solution was to use simplified Art Deco line work for custom lettering. Paired with historic images and bold greens and golds, the resulting design feels elegant and tasteful.
Paper invitations were only sent to special guests of the distillery, so we wanted to ensure they looked exclusive. I designed a custom gate-fold card with a keyhole, giving the event a sense of secrecy and a nod to classic speakeasies.
